Agenda Blog #2 exercise Analyzing food map Choosing topics/groups Homework

Blog #2 exercise With a partner, show them your online food site you will be analyzing for your 2nd blog post. Discuss what you see as the author, intention/purpose, audience, content of message, and form of message. Finally, explain the argument you will make in your blog post about if the author succeeds in their purpose and what this type of communication says about the culture in which it was produced.

Central Issues relating to food Brainstorming issues Creating groups – 6 groups

Leading Class Discussion Each group needs to choose one scholarly and one popular source for class readings for their chosen day. These should be posted by Friday (9/23) at 5pm When leading discussion, need to cover themes in readings, come up with an activity involving rhetoric, and lead discussion – group will use all 75 minutes After your presentation, you will have one week to write a blog about your topic – detailed assignment to come
