Spending time with God requires Him speaking and us listening us speaking and Him listening. God speaks (and we listen): through the Bible through the Holy Spirit through people through circumstances We speak (and God listens): through prayer

BELIEVE that the Bible is worth reading that God can speak to you through the Bible. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that we may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

BELIEVE MEDITATE “give serious thought to something” concentrate when you read read a shorter passage, slowly, repeatedly pause and focus on a phrase or word. This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it (meditate on it) day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. Joshua 1:8

BELIEVE MEDITATE WRITE When the king is seated on his royal throne, he is to write a copy of this instruction for himself on a scroll…. It is to remain with him, and he is to read from it all the days of his life…. Deuteronomy 17:18-19

Scripture: copy the verse BELIEVE – MEDITATE – WRITE Read Romans 12:9-21 Choose one verse Meditate on it; pause and think about it Write, following the acrostic, “SOAP” Scripture: copy the verse Observation: summarize the verse Application: What does God want me to do today?
