We read many apple stories that were fiction and we compared those to a non-fiction Apple book by Gail Gibbons. We reviewed nouns: singular, plural and Proper. We read about and sequenced the life cycle of an apple. Our favorite book was What’s so terrible about swallowing an apple seed? We celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by reading a biography about him and making applesauce with apples that possibly came from seeds he planted many years ago! We had an awesome pep rally at the stadium!
