Technological/Transportation Innovation Jigsaw Activity 4 groups: Cumberland Road (1803-1818), Washington Steamboat (1816), Erie Canal (1825), Morse’s Telegraph (1844). In your groups, answer the following questions: What inspired this particular innovation? What made this new transportation system or invention so innovative? In what ways did this new innovation impact the economy?
