Welcome to 3rd Grade With Mr. Boatman and Ms. Turner!!

Remember that the school day begins at 7:30 AM. 3rd graders need to have enough time to put their things away in their homeroom and get to their first period class by the time the bell rings. Students arriving after 7:30 AM will enter the office and receive a pass to class. Their attendance record will be marked as T for “tardy” for that day. Students will be carrying supplies back and forth to their two classes, we recommend that they bring a small tote bag (ie. reusable shopping bag) to ease this process.

Lunch Parents are welcome to join their student for lunch! Our Lunch time has changed this year, it is now from 12:00-12:30. Remember to bring your picture ID. This is a requirement per district policy.

Discipline 3rd Graders will carry their blue folders with them to each class. If a color change is required, the teacher will make a note in the folder.

We will not send weekly homework packets home this year. Ms. Turner expects each student to read at least 3o minutes each night. Mr. Boatman may send home a skill sheet every other week that should be returned when completed. Students will also have online access to several math and ELA programs which they are expected to use at home to master their math and reading skills.

Student Celebrations Whitt has 4 Student Celebration Assemblies throughout the school year. Parents are always welcome to attend! If your child is receiving an award, you will be notified by their teacher.
