Ostrobothnia innovation environment Current challenges Lock-in, the dependence of many SMEs of single large producers facing an environment of global competition feared to increase with advanced productions methods. Horizontal co-ordination, particularly considering the knowledge in the field of advanced production methods. Regional knowledge producers are poorly networked. This forms a challenge for the public sector in strategic forecasting and use of resources. Knowledge creation there is a need of: 1) widening and 2) deepening the analysis of the influence of advanced production methods and their implication on both large companies and SMEs ÖSTERBOTTENS FÖRBUND – POHJANMAAN LIITTO www.obotnia.fi facebook.com/obotnia
