Community Connections SYSTEM VALUE: Collaborative partnerships of students, parents, teachers, and the community to facilitate learning GOAL ACTION PLAN: To build systematic internal and external understanding and support for Huntsville City Schools through comprehensive communications designed to include all stakeholders RATIONALE: To intentionally and meaningfully engage all stakeholder groups is essential for a productive school system. The businesses depend on us to teach and train the future workforce. Parents must know the “what” and “why” from our schools. We must all work together to produce active citizens who will contribute to our world.

Professional Growth SYSTEM VALUE: Education is vital to a successful life GOAL ACTION PLAN: To empower all employees with modern strategies and skills that will, in turn, equip students for successful lives RATIONALE: Ongoing learning is critical to the success of individuals and businesses, so we must establish expectations for all employees and provide opportunities for continual growth.

Operations and Resources SYSTEM VALUE: All students will have a safe learning environment and the leadership of Huntsville City Schools will responsibly manage public funds and resources GOAL ACTION PLAN: To continuously improve facilities, to foster a safe learning environment, and to manage resources prudently and efficiently RATIONALE: Clean, modernized, and safe buildings are critical to the recruitment and retention of parents, students, teachers, and local businesses. Our buildings and resources must accommodate all students’ learning styles.
