A is for aptitude, to show you know your vocabulary.

B is for barricade B is for barricade, because something needs to stand in between us and them.

C is for concoction C is for concoction, because who doesn’t love a concoction of different ice creams in a sundae?

D is for deft D is for deft, because all your life any will have to be skillful with your hands.

E is for exasperation E is for exasperation, because by June 10th we’re all annoyed with school.

F is for furtive, because everyone has their secrets.

G is for grueling, because we all need a nap.

H is for hasten H is for hasten, because we all wish we could make the last day of school come faster.

I is for illuminate I is for illuminate, not to lighten the night, but to lighten your stress.

J is for jargon J is for jargon so you know what your science teacher is talking about.

K is for kindle K is for kindle, not the Amazon device, but the start of a feeling or emotion.

L is for luminous L is for luminous, so you can feel the moon’s soft, radiant light fall upon you as you sleep under the stars.

M is for meander. So is it wrong to wander?

N is for narrate N is for narrate, because if it didn’t, you wouldn’t know what was going on in Hamlet.

O is for ominous, because all bad things happen in three’s.

P is for plenteous, because without it we would have no food.

Q is for quell, because we can all overcome our fears.

R is for recuperate R is for recuperate, because physicians are the best at it… except maybe this physician.

S is for swagger, because we’re all too arrogant to not have it.

T is for terse T is for terse, because we don’t want to listen to the teacher talk for hours on end.

U is for uncanny, because nobody is normal.

V is for vigilant, because if we weren’t, we’d trip over that rock.

W is for waft, like the leaves that fly in the wind.

X is for xylophone, the only word that seems to start with x.

Y is for yearn, because we all want that iPhone.

Z is for zeal, because we can’t wait to finish this book.
