A Special Highlight BTHS has been included in the Philadelphia Magazine “Top 100 Philadelphia Area Public Schools." See, http://www.phillymag.com/articles/top-100-public-schools-2012/ . We are #80. Identified from all the public and charter high schools in our 8-County area: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania; Burlington, Camden and Gloucester in New Jersey. The criteria included: percentage of students who graduate; percentage of graduates going to a two- or four-year college; average SAT scores for the past three years; percentage of 11th-grade students ranked proficient or above in state assessment tests (in PA, the PSSA; in NJ, the HSPA) for the past three years; student/faculty ratio; instructional cost and total cost per student; number of designated Advanced Placement courses offered; number of varsity sports teams; and number of clubs and activities offered. A statistical expert utilized data primarily from the PA and NJ DoE's to compute the results.
