Who Benefits from Family Court? Attorneys States and local governments, who receive federal money via Title IV D. Child Custody 730 Evaluators. Family Court Services. Psychologists and social workers. False accusers. The best liar.

Why would a parent not want equal parenting? Revenge More child support Convenience They believe they are the better parent and the other is not necessary. One house stability. However, it has been proven that for “emotional stability” both parents being involved is the best.

Myth #1 Geographic stability leads to overall stability for the child. Fact Children who have equal involvement with both parents do best psychologically, academically, socially and physically.

Myth #2 If children must live with one parent, mom is the best choice. Fact Research clearly shows that children raised by dad are more likely to do better psychologically, academically, socially and physically than those raised by mom.

Myth #3 If there is conflict in the custody issue, then shared custody will not work. Fact High conflict situations make it more important to have Equal Parenting otherwise the child feels it has been abandoned by the other parent and feels the loss of their love. Creating not only emotional distress for the child but it increases FALSE claims of child abuse, spouse abuse or sexual abuse.

Myth #4 Fact Men are deadbeat dads that abandon families. Beaten-down dads who love their children eventually become disenfranchised from them. Women initiate divorce over 65% and obtain sole custody over 85% of the time.

Lack of the father in a child’s life: Increases violent behavior. Children are more likely to join gangs, do drugs and do poorly in school. Children have less empathy for other people and hence causing more bullying. Low self esteem.

Fatherless Facts 43% of Children live without their father. 90% of homeless and runaways are from fatherless homes. (US Dept. of Census) 80% of rapists motivated with displaced anger, come from fatherless homes. (Criminal Justice & Behavior. Vol. 14) 71% of pregnant teenagers lack a father. (US Department of Health and Services) 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes. (US D.H.H.S. Bureau of the Census)

Fatherless Facts 85% of children with behavioral disorders come from fatherless homes. (CDC) 71% of high school dropouts come from fatherless homes. (National Principles Association Report on High Schools) 70% of juveniles in state operated institutions have no father. (US Department of Justice report) 85% of youths in prisons grew up in fatherless homes. (Texas Department of Corrections)

Fatherless boys and girls are: Twice as likely to drop out of high school. Twice as likely to end up in jail. Four times more likely to need help for emotional or behavioral problems. (US Department of Health and Human Services released March 26th 1999)

Family structures in which children do best. Intact Family Equal Parenting time Parents live in the same neighborhood so the children stay in the same school. No bad-mouthing of each other by parents. Parents work together amicably.

Children that share parents equally have: Fewer behavior problems. Strong emotional health. Higher self-esteem. Better school performance. Healthy family relations. Reduced incidence of drug abuse. Fewer suicides. Lower teen pregnancy rates.

Equal parenting results in: Less crime. Lower law enforcement costs. Reduced Prison costs. Lower taxes. Increased social capital. Decreased Court costs. Lower Welfare costs.

Advantages of Equal Parenting Saves marriages by decreasing financial incentives of divorce. Decreases family court litigation. Frees both parents to pursue career aspirations. Encourages more active parenting. Allows children equal access to both parents.

Advantages of Equal Parenting Removes incentives for false accusations and perjury. Reduces “move-aways,” resulting in stronger extended families, healthier communities and lower crime rates. Reduces child custody conflicts.

What CRISPE© can do: Educate the public and policy makers on the importance of Equal Parenting. Promote Equal Parenting with the CRISPE© “traveling billboard” in parades and events. Unite people and organizations with the common goal of Equal Parenting.
