Week 2 (May 29 – June 2, 2017) Accomplishments: Plans for next week: Project 8: Internet of Hospital Things (IoHT): Communicating to Facilitate Healing REU Student: Brandon Alex Belna Graduate mentors: Myungho Lee, Kangsoo Kim, and Ryan Schubert Faculty Mentor(s): Dr. Welch and Dr. Bruder Week 2 (May 29 – June 2, 2017) Accomplishments: Met with Dr. Welch & Dr. Bruder Created an elementary project goal: create a working unified IoT & AR interface using Unity & HoloLens Throughoughly learned HoloLens development through Unity and VisualStudio Created a prototype interface for HoloLens interaction with IoT devices using Arduinos equipped with Bluetooth shields Plans for next week: Locate Arduinos and Bluetooth shields for them Begin to program a Bluetooth interface which establishes connection and interaction between the HoloLens and IoT devices NSF REU Research Experience on Internet of Things 2017
