Chapter 9 Review NEW!

Complete examples 1 and 2 on pages 131 and 132 of your workbook.

Example 3: Applying Transformations Prove that the triangles with the given vertices are congruent. A(1, 2), B(2, 1), C(4, 2) P(-3, -2), Q(-2, -1), R(-3, 1) △ ABC can be mapped to △ A′B′C′ by a 90o rotation (x, y) → (–y, x); and then △ A′B′C′ can be mapped to △PQR by a translation: (x, y) → (x – 1, y – 3).

4 – 1 Graded Classwork Workbook Page 134 ALL For #1-3, write the congruency or non-congruency statement and use specific transformations (lines of reflection, angle of rotation, etc.) to justify answer For #4-6, write the specific transformations in words (reflection, rotation, translation) and in coordinate notation What ever you don’t finish is homework due next class.
