NMCSD Measles Case Investigation A LABORATORY CONFIRMED CASE OF MEASLES WAS DIAGNOSED IN A DEPENDENT BENEFICIARY ON 21FEB2014. THE INDIVIDUAL MAY HAVE EXPOSED OTHERS DURING MEDICAL VISITS TO NAVMEDCEN SAN DIEGO AND BRANCH HEALTH CLINIC MIRAMAR. NAVMEDCEN SAN DIEGO PREVENTIVE MEDICINE AND LOCAL COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH ARE CONTACTING MORE THAN 300 STAFF AND PATIENTS WHO WERE PRESENT DURING THE EXPOSURE PERIODS TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE AT RISK FOR DEVELOPING MEASLES. ACTIVE SURVEILLANCE IS ONGOING FOR NEW MEASLES CASES THAT INCLUDE THOSE CONTACTS WITH A FEVER AND RASH. MISSION IMPACT: NONE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF FOUR MEDICAL STAFF MEMBERS THAT WERE NON-IMMUNE AND PLACED ON HOME ISOLATION FOR 21 DAYS AFTER THEIR DATE OF EXPOSURE.
