Specialized Workers Specialization- the development of skills needed for one to do a specific kind of work. Teachers, Scribes, farmers, artisans
Complex Institutions Institution – a long lasting pattern of organization in a community such as Government Religion Economy
Record Keeping Needed to keep track of dates, records, and laws. Needed for writing. Scribes were people who used writing to keep records. Cuneiform (“wedge shaped” was created in Sumer and was the 1st system of writing.
