“Freak the Mighty” Vocabulary Chapters 20-25

Directions Complete the vocabulary preview activity for Chapters 20-22 and 23-25. On the sheet for 20-22 ONLY do 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9. On the sheet for 23-25 ONLY do 1-6 (so…no 7). Remember…read each sentence and define the underlined words as they are used within the text (context clues). Do this activity NOW!! Do not advance this slide until you are finished with that activity. Are you finished with all 11 sentences??? Great!!!! Now, turn to your next, blank vocabulary charts (you’ll need 2). Label one Chapters 20-22 and the other 23-25. Copy the definitions on the following slides onto your chart. Make sure you copy down ALL the information! You will be required to draw a pic as well. You can copy mine or sketch your own! *****Copy down the definitions and synonyms FIRST, then go back and do the sketches!!!!***

Now…turn to a new chart and label it 23-25!!

5. manifestation N- the current condition or state someone is in

6. stabilized N- made unlikely to change, fail or get worse Synonyms- preserve, maintain

Finished!!!??? Now that you have completed all 11 words, definitions and synonyms, go back and work on the sketches, if time isn’t up!!! Remember…you can copy mine or sketch your own!!
