Lizard Evolution

Speciation Islands of the Caribbean are home to about 150 species of anole lizards. Genus Anolis Why are there so many species of anoles? How did they evolve?

Learning Objective Learn to carefully measure specific traits of anole lizards. Using the data, determine the range of differences among different species of anoles and to think about whether and how the differences might represent adaptations resulting from natural selection.
