Creating Your Blog with Blogger

Go to www.blogger.com to start.

Click the “Create Your Blog Now” button

Enter your email address in the first two boxes

Enter your password in the next two boxes

This meter tells you how good your password is

Enter the name you want people to see on your blog

Type in the word you see here Type in the word you see here. This is a test to make sure you're not an automated computer signing up for blog

Read the Terms of Service by clicking on the link, then check the little box.

Click the Continue button to go to the next step in the process

Enter the name of your blog Enter the name of your blog. The name will show up at the top of the blog page.

mygreatblog.blogspot.com. You need a unique web address for your blog. It will be something like: mygreatblog.blogspot.com. The .blogspot.com part is automatic and required. Think of a name similar to your blog name you entered above, check it's availability by clicking the link. When you have one you like, enter it in the box.

Ignore the Advanced Options for now and click the Continue button to go to the next step.

In this step, you choose a template that will define how your blog looks. Scroll down to look at what's available. To see a larger image of a template, click the “preview template” link under a given template.

When you find one you like (you're limited to what's available here), click the little button by its name, then click on the Continue button to go to the next step.

Congratulations. You've created your blog Congratulations! You've created your blog. Next, it's time to actually write your first blog post. Click the “Start Blogging” button to go to that step.
