 The consistency of our poo depends on how long it has spent in the colon. The longer it spends 'in transit', the more liquid is absorbed by the colon.

I will know the composition of urine. MT: Urinary System

Urine should be slightly yellow, see through, acidic, and have a slight “nutty” odor

Water Nitrogenous Waste: proteins breaking down into nitrogen parts (ie urea, uric acid, creatine, & ammonia) Parts of Urine Electrolytes: Na+, K+, Cl-, Sulfate Toxins: bacteria, drugs, medicine Pigments: Red blood cells break down and create yellow substances Hormones

Urine is 95% Water!

Unhealthy Urine Color: Dark yellow urine is caused by dehydration Red urine is caused by the presence of blood Urine with no color indicates the resulting impact of uncontrolled diabetes as well as a long-term kidney disease. Certain foods, medicine, etc can change your urine color

Unhealthy Urine Clarity: Cloudy or chalky Can be caused by red blood cells, bacteria, pus, mucous, yeast, or semen
