Project Abstract: The goal of this project is to design and build a miniature replica of the Opportunity, a Mars Exploration Rover.   The replica will ultimately be part of an exhibit in a children’s museum in Indiana.

Project Specific Success Criteria: An ability to respond to commands from a wireless interface. An ability to autonomously avoid obstacles. An ability to auto calibrate to different enclosures. An ability to autonomously navigate to a predetermined location using echolocation and direction sensors. An ability to inductively charge the rover batteries.
