Romani Early Years Network REYN is a learning community: members develop together and exchange knowledge, skills and good practice and establish effective partnerships. REYN aims to empower Romani practitioners so that the early years workforce reflects and supports the diversity of communities.
Romani Early Years Network Established in October 2012 in Opatija, Croatia, by the International Step by Step Association (ISSA) in partnership with the Open Society Foundations’ Roma ‘Kopaçi’ Initiatives within the Early Childhood Program, London. Individual membership: currently more than 450 members from 32 countries. Hosted by the ISSA in Leiden, Netherlands. With 9 national REYNs operating in local languages (Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia)

National Initiatives National networks (BEL, CRO, HUN, IRL, ITA, KOS, SRB, SLO, SVK) are coordinated locally by partner NGOs and other institutions, supported also by the OSF Early Childhood Program; Variety of activities and initiatives: grassroots pilot programs; parenting support; teacher training; integration of services; advocacy initiatives; awards; campaigns and other initiatives promoting quality and access to early childhood services for Romani and Traveller children.
