Middle East Foldable Day 2 SS7G7 – The student will explain the impact of location, climate, physical characteristics, distribution of natural resources and population distribution of Southwest Asia (Middle East). Bell-Ringer: Between Turkey, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, which country do you believe has the highest standard of living? Explain your response. HINT: standard of living - the level of wealth, comfort, material goods and necessities available to people in a country.

Vocabulary Quiz Review Aquifer Arid Canal Desalinization Drip Irrigation The removal of salt and other minerals from water to produce fresh, drinkable water. Work Session If you were not here Friday, you will have to ask somebody near you how to make the foldable. I will hand out articles, use the articles to complete your foldable. Put as much important information as you can on the foldable. The better your information, the better your grade. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE!!! You may need your geography textbook for the foldable section titled “population” (See pg. 124-125 for population and density). Today, you work on this by yourself without talking. The last 10 minutes before closing, I will allow you to quietly discuss your responses with the person next to you. Do NOT write on the articles.
