Vocabulary Lesson 7-8 Guess the meanings of the italicized stems by looking at the word in context. 1. The young boy was captivated by his video games; he could hardly take his eyes off the screen. 2. I wish all kinds of spiders were extinct! Those critters are gross! 3. Thousands of comic book fans enjoy watching Peter Parker mutate into Spiderman. 4. The letters found in the attic are from the 1800’s. It’s amazing that they have remained intact for over 200 years. 5. We looked at many zygotes under the microscope in our science class.
