We recognize that people learn in different ways. IF the digital medium is too much for you . . . Don’t worry!

Traditional Program Manuals If you prefer the traditional format of educational materials . . .

Pathways Manuals Available Pre-selected Electives 5 of the 10 paths are available in hard copy. Electives are pre-selected. 3 shipments of materials. Remember – if members choose printed materials, they DO NOT have online access to Pathways curriculum in Base Camp.

Remind your members how easy it is to access their projects Remind your members how easy it is to access their projects. (This is the shortcut!) Let’s assume you’ve logged in as a member starting at www.toastmasters.org You’re only 4 clicks away from activating your project.

(Must be Logged in) Select “Welcome” Welcome, Name To Access Your Pathways Educational Curriculum, simply click on the “welcome” at the top of the page.

Click on “Go to My Transcript” Welcome, Name Member Name, Credential Once on your private page, click on “Go to My Transcript” Remember . . . no one can see this page except you . . . Member Number Join Date

Click on “Open Curriculum ” For dual members, they may have two learning paths. Select Open curriculum to reveal the projects in a path.

Click on “Open Curriculum ” Remember, you can go back to home at any time.

Encourage new members to explore “Navigating Base Camp” to build their understanding of the curriculum.

Displays when you reach The optional mentor program will appear when a member’s Level 3 opens. Mentor Program Displays when you reach Level 3

Click Sequence: “Activate” then “Launch” Everyone begins with the Ice Breaker project in Level 1. There is one button location with 2 sequence clicks: first Activate, then Launch. Remember: The Ice Breaker needs to be completed before the other projects reveal their “Activate” button.

When 75% Complete, Click “Activate” When members complete all projects in their entirety, the member can activate the Completion request.

Click “Mark Complete” The button changes to Mark Complete. Click to submit the approval request.

Levels with Elective Projects (3, 4, 5) Elective Projects . . . Only 1 required in Level 4!

Levels with Elective Projects (3, 4, 5) When a level has been marked complete, the message will read “Pending Completion Approval”. This will change when the Base Camp Manager approves (or denies) the request.

Remember: The number of required electives is noted in the section beneath the Elective projects description.

Remember: Print my project does not imply that you will send the project to your printer. This is simply an option to download the full project as a PDF document. When a member completes the project activity (e.g., the speech), they need to re-launch the project and complete the “ASSESS YOUR SKILLS AFTER” survey. Remember to submit. Then advance to the last screen in the project.

For any speech or project you do in Pathways, there are multiple ways to access the appropriate speech evaluation form. This is just one way, though Base Camp. Click on Speech evaluations

Interactive tutorials are built into Pathways to help new members learn how to evaluate. This tutorial will also assist all members learn how the fillable evaluation forms work. This will be highly valuable to members who choose to use the evaluation tools as a digital file (using their tablet or laptop during a club meeting). Active Listening may either be a required project or an elective project for members. The downloadable evaluation tool can be used immediately to critique the skills of your club’s Table Topics Master. There is a change in how this role functions within Pathways.

Generic evaluation Resource, May want to print several copies to keep at your club, for when someone forgets to bring their evaluation form
