Our weekly goal is 100 minutes! Mrs. Evans’ Newsletter Third Grade Week of September 5 - 9 Upcoming Events A Peek at Our Week September 9 – Camo Day (for math) September 15 – DOT Day (wear dots) September 22- Parent Literacy Night- 6:00-7:30 September 26- Staff Dev.- No School! Reading: We will begin to study and focus on the Character Traits in our reading passages. Math: We will continue our first unit of study, place value! We will be learning to round this week! Writing: We will continue to practice how to write paragraphs. We will begin learning the writing process and the writing traits. Science: We will finish our unit on inquiry skills that are needed in science. Social Studies: We will continue to learn where we live on this big planet of ours. Please be working with your child to know their address. We will be asking for it! Handwriting: We will begin learning the basic strokes in cursive handwriting. Test and Quizzes Wednesday: Math quiz Thursday/Friday: Science test on Process Skills Social Studies quiz on Geography Friday: Spelling Test Spelling Words: (Long A & Long E) Lay Real trail sweet today dream seem tea treat afraid leave bait screen speed Reminders Reading logs are due Tuesday morning! Please have them in your Yellow Folder to be checked! Our weekly goal is 100 minutes!
