Turn right at DP 185+ (exit from the reservoir) 6

Walk in the opposite direction as you used to do in the past 7

Upslope all the way in the forest for 20 minutes 9

arrive at a hairpin turn 10

Leave the road and enter a trail 11

Follow the sign to Tai Tong 12

If you find yourself walking downhill, turn back immediately You must have missed the trail 13

After a low mountain pass, you are looking at the valleys of Tai Tong 17

then you come to a trail intersection 18

On your left is the ruin of a temple 19

On your right is the shortcut leading up from DP 179 20

Again follow the sign to Tai Tong 21

Go straight ahead and upstairs 22

You may soon see a road ahead 24

You will soon come to the road Total walking time on the trail 30-45 minutes 25

After walking gently up along the road for 10 minutes you come to a T-junction 26

Follow the sign to Wong Nai Tun Tsuen Tai Tong bus stop 27

and take the road on the left 28

15 minutes later you see some buildings & a football pitch on your left 29

It is a country park management centre 30

Exit by a gate that restricts the traffic 32

On your right is a BBQ site 33

After the country park management centre you will come to another building 34

Then the road goes down, straight ahead is a large BBQ site 36

You have a view of Yuen Long and Shenzhen 37

Enter the BBQ site by either way to reach the toilet at the far end 39

Enter a forest behind the toilet 41

descend a short flight of stairs in the forest 43

Join the road again and go downslope 44

The finish is a short distance ahead 45

Takes 20-30 minutes from the T-junction to the Finish 47

As there is no public transport, you have to walk out along the road 48

Pass the ‘Lychee Villa’ 49

The final stretch of downslope 50

you come to a more major road at this T-junction 51
