Carr’s Champions! May 22, 2017 Upcoming Events Carr’s Courier *Please read this each week with your child. *We are a tree-nut and peanut free classroom. Carr’s Courier Upcoming Events 5/22 & 5/23- Benchmark Tests 5/29- Memorial Day (no school) **There is no more homework for the rest of the year. We will continue to practice with Letterland in class but no more homework will be sent home.** Parents/Guardians: As you saw in your letter Friday, Mr. Ribbeck will be leaving us after this school year. We are sad to see him go but have enjoyed having him at Celeste. The PTO will be putting together a gift basket for him. 2nd graders have been asked to send in Oreos for the basket. If you’d like to send in some, please do so before June 5th. Shhhh…it’s a surprise! This week our countdown will be days M through Q! The countdown is on our classroom’s website under “upcoming events” if you have lost your paper. This week we will have our final two benchmarks. Students’ final scores will be on the 4th quarter report card.   Upcoming Learning ELA- 2.RI.10- I can read and understand texts at or above grade level. Phonics- contractions (isn’t, we’ll) Math- MD 2.9- Creating and interpreting line plots.
