Medical Needs Inreach Project 1st February 2018 Medical Needs Inreach Project A partnership project between the Oxfordshire Hospital School, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Oxfordshire Schools

Why and How... Why? Increasing numbers of young people are missing out on education because they have a medical / mental heath need Accessing services and support can be difficult to navigate for schools and funding shortfalls can mean students in need are left on wait lists for far too long The OHS provides 1-1 teaching through its outreach teaching services. Undoubtedly, the OHS can extend its support further by serving as a conduit and advocate, and by increasing its presence in schools

How? OHS Governors have approved a one off investment into the Inreach Project, allowing this project to get off the ground. Although training and support is offered to all Oxfordshire Schools, the Inreach Project will specifically partner with some schools (aka Partnership Schools) to evaluate impacts of focused, time bound activities. Partnership Schools can access funded attendance to training and CPD events organised through the Inreach Project as well as specific, focused in school work
