Next Week’s Related Arts Nevin Coppock 1st Grade BE SUPER! 1-12-18 Ms. Blake Week in Review     Upcoming Events January 10 – PIE meeting at 9:30 BW January 12 – 2nd Quarter Ends/1st Semester Ends January 12 – Pretzel Money Due January 15 – No School January 19 – Pretzel Day January 19 – Jump Rope for the Heart Assembly Happy 2018!  We had lots of discussions about resolutions and how at the beginning of each year people make promises to themselves to become better and help others. We read the book “Squirrel’s New Year’s Resolution” and wrote a goal for ourselves this year. We reviewed skills such as; ABC order, labeling, sentence writing and sequencing events in a story. Also, what a perfect week for our snowman theme! We read many books, our favorite being The Biggest, Best Snowman. We were introduced to the character Nell in a previous story, The Bumpy Little Pumpkin and love that despite her being so small, she believes in herself and can do many things! We read Snowmen at Night and brainstormed different things our snowman would do. I’ll be looking for snowmen in Tipp City!
