The water vapour rises and enters in the Liebig condenser. Peer Assessment When the solution is heated the water turns into water vapour, leaving the dissolved salt particles behind. The water vapour rises and enters in the Liebig condenser. The outer tube of the condenser is filled with cool water flowing from the tap. This cools the inner tube that the water vapour is now travelling along. In the condenser the water vapour cooled and turns back into a liquid. This is the collected in the flask below.
