PURPOSE To explain the storage and moving allowances available to TSM and the difference between this move and other they have experienced in the military, (i.e. PCS)

SHIPMENT AND STORAGE OF HHG Timing RETIREE/SEP >8 yrs- Up to 1 year HOR HOS PLEAD SEP <8 yrs- Up to 6 months < 8 yrs: Members can still move somewhere else, but responsible for the difference in cost to move weight allowance to HOR or PLEAD > 8 yrs/Retiree: Members can still move outside U.S., but responsible for difference to move you within the US. (normally the farthest possible location)
