19th meeting of the Quality WG CoP translated into 21 guidelines, self-assessment by ONAs in 2016 Importance to well formulate the questions of the Self- assessment, professional independence as key issue, some ONAs might not have an infrastructure with more one off production Overall conclusion on National Guidelines: crucial tool to strengthen coordination within NSS, in a context where coordination is considered to be reinforced in the CoP
19th meeting of the Quality WG Survey on regionalized and decentralized national statistical systems – final results presented, linking them to the ESGAB Annual Report 2015: MS invited to continue to update list of ONAs as appropriate Inform Eurostat in case of changes to MS's institutional structure MS role re ESGAB recommendations 15 and 16 of 2015 (MS to adopt strong leadership role and effective coordination procedure / provide sufficient resources for training and awareness-raising on the CoP)

Quality conference 2018 Grant agreement signed since the WG meeting – the conference will take place in Poland
QUAL@ESS Vision 2020 Action 1 on coordinating quality in the Vision Implementation Portfolio launched – with the QUAL Steering Committee Action 2 (SWOT analysis, Q profiles & stakeholder analysis and interaction) and Action 3 (Q for the institutions as a whole) taken forward in collaboration with DIGICOM, in the form of public procurements All 3 actions serve as an input to the work of the High-level Group on Quality

HLG-Q: Experimental data The entirety of the ES Code of Practice is not covered – they are not European Statistics Communication: crucial, clear distinction needed to avoid risk of misunderstanding Proposal of linking the national and Eurostat initiatives in an ESS platform
