Moselle Farm This beautiful property has 5,014 hectares with undulating mopane veld within the middle reaches of the Ugab River Catchment area. It is very well situated as a natural stopover to the Etoscha Pans from Swakopmund and Damaraland. The whole area is stunningly beautiful with plenty of game. Not only is the hunting good, but the property is well situated as a tourist destination in its own right.

The property has a spacious farmstead located on a hillock and providing spectacular views onto the Ugab river below as well as surrounding, mountains, terraces and plains.

Services Water and electricity is solar powered. The whole setup is very Eco-friendly. The water supply is very good, firstly from the copious aquifer of the Ugeb River, secondly from boreholes and thirdly from a spectacular dam in a deep mountain ravine. There are several hides and hunting lofts at different watering places and offer excellent game viewing and bird watching. The Ugab River has a magnificent riverine forest of mopane and ana trees, as well as blinkblaar wag-‘n-bietjie and shepherd’s trees.

The centre part is occupied by undulating mopane veld with some picturesque island hills, deep ravines and steep terraces. A spectacular rock feature is called the suikerpot(Sugar pot). The north has the spectacular Ugab limestone terraces. About 10 km to the north west of the house is a 1000m airstrip owned and operated by the Vingerklip Lodge, which may be used for fly-in purposes or emergency evacuations. It is advisable that the use of the airstrip is negotiated with the owner up front in writing.

Game Viewing The farm is an excellent spot for a variety of trophy hunting, notably kudu, oryx, warthog, hartebeest, zebra and eland. As the property is part of a 450,000 hectare conservancy all the mentioned species can be bagged. Game numbers are difficult to obtain, but it is estimated that at any given time there are about 50-80 kudu, 40-50 mountain zebra and oryx on the property. There are leopard and spotted hyena, and elephant visit the property to feed on the pods of the Ana Tree in the Ugab River. Cat sighting is excellent.

Situation Situated about 100km west of Outjo off the Khorichas road on the D2351 near to the Vingerklip Lodge. The property is company owned and the price excludes legal costs. Any VAT that such a sale might attract is excluded and payable by the purchaser.
