FEMA Training Needs Assessment

Why is this Important? Federal Reserve: 47 percent of respondents to a national survey could not cover an unexpected $400 expense without going into debt.

NCDP’s Previous Work on Housing Sandy Child and Family Health Study (S-CAFH) funded by the State of New Jersey. 77.7% of residents did not evacuate. Only 35% had flood insurance coverage and only 18% had windstorm insurance coverage.

Earth Institute Collaboration Need to provide data, resources, and toolkits that geographically specific. Localized curriculum. Emphasis on “whole community” integration.
