We read a non-fiction book All About Turkey and answered questions by playing Turkey Jeopardy! We read some fun fictional Thanksgiving books too– a favorite being Turk and Runt. We made puppets to retell the story. We discussed verb tenses after reading The Thanksgiving Surprise. We talked about traditions and what our families do for Thanksgiving. We sorted items from long ago vs. today. We will watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and write about what we are thankful for! We also wrote our own ideas for how to cook a turkey!
