Subject What We’re Learning Mrs. Schimke’s Class Newsletter October 30- November 3 Subject What We’re Learning Reading We will spend our second week with the biography Roberto Clemente. Our story skills will be: cause/effect, literal/nonliteral meanings, prefix mis-, and visualizing. Our summative assessment will on Thursday. Language Arts We will learn about singular and plural possessive nouns. Math We will continue multiplying. This week we will multiply by 3/6 and 7. We will also learn about the distributive property. PRACTICE MULTIPLICATION FACTS EVERY NIGHT!! Science & Social Studies Science – we will not start a new unit. Social Studies – we will continue learning about the Mayflower and what it was like in Plymouth. Teacher Notes Remember to initial the student planner each night. All test, quiz, and assignment dates are subject to change. Library is on Friday. Collect those Box Tops and Pop Tops!
