This graph only provides data through 2012 because, at the time this article was written, 2012 was the last year of available linked data from the linkage of STS ACSD and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Medicare database. Linkage for 2013 data is now under way and will likely show continued increasing penetration [3].
