Team Harmony Chapter 22

What is team harmony? Individuals working together to achieve better performances than they can alone Team chemistry takes effort - Videos

Individual commitment Remove your previous identity – Kobe video Absorb yourself into the team Many times it takes a coach or captain to help

Embrace differences The team is probably made up of people you didn’t chose Everybody is now a teammate, accept your differences and make them strengths Understand, be more flexible, spend extra time with these people

Truly get to know each other Make an effort to invite everybody and talk to everybody Personally find out about your teammates, probe deeper than the surface

communication LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN!!!! Ask for help Give and receive constructive criticism LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN!!!! Especially as a coach and leader

Listening skills Mouth shut Eye contact Physical movements (nodding)

Solve Problems While they are still small Courage Put the team’s goal above the personal conflicts “refusing to pass the ball to a player”

Embrace challenges together Instead of letting hard times wedge a team apart, pull together and work through them together to make the team stronger The LONG SLOG is where the most improvement is made and the team has an advantage Tim Tebow Video
