SELECTION Selection is a powerful tool in TRIFLEX® WINDOWS Once selected, a component or a group or multiple groups of components can be: Deleted Modified –changing the material, temperatures and pressures, insulations, restraints types, etc Copied to the clipboard and pasted in the same model or in another model – some restriction apply Renumbered Moved to another position in the Input Spreadsheet Exclusively viewed in the Graphic View Exclusively listed in the Code Compliance Report

The components can be selected: SELECTION The components can be selected: One by one Using a range of components in the Input Spreadsheet Using similar characteristics in Input Graphics Branch by branch in the Input Spreadsheet or Input Graphics

Selecting a range of elements in the Input Spreadsheet SELECTION 1.Hold the CTRL Key and click with the mouse on the first element from sequence 2. Hold the Shift Key and click with the mouse on the last element from the sequence

Selecting one by one SELECTION The components can be selected one by one, in the Input Spreadsheet or Input Graphics by holding the CTRL key and clicking with the mouse on the component

A branch can be selected in two ways: Branch Selection SELECTION A branch can be selected in two ways: 1. Set the Current Component to one of the elements of the branch and use “Select Current Branch” option under “Edit” menu. 2. In the Input Graphics screen, hold the Shift key and click with the mouse on one of the component which belongs to the branch

Selecting using similar characteristics in Input Graphics SELECTION All the input parameters can be visualized in Input Graphics using solid colors. The color scale shows how each color is assigned to a value of the displayed input parameter.

Selecting using similar characteristics in Input Graphics SELECTION To select one or more sets of components hold the CTRL key and click with the mouse on the color representing each desired group of items. In this case we have selected all the components with the operating temperature equal to either 21 or 200 degrees Celsius

View Selection SELECTION As an option, on the Input Graphics screen only, selected component can be displayed using the “Show Selected Components” button from the left graphics toolbar.
