4 Updates ICON ICON data synchronisations occur every six hours. SIMON and ICON have been collaboratively developing a “Proof of concept” that has successfully allowed student baseline profile information within ICON to update SIMON. This work is the basis of an API* (Application Program Interface) that will allow software vendors to utilise key student data. SIMON is proud to be a partner of ICON, devoting its own resources to the development and testing of technologies for the benefit of the whole community.

8 Overrides VICTORIAN CURRICULUM SIMON can assist schools in measuring student achievement more accurately at the level they are assessed at. The Override allows schools to measure a student based on the actual curriculum delivered rather then an age expected value. With Override No Override

9 Parent Access WorkDesk MANAGING PARENT ACCESS Parent Access WorkDesk enables administration of Parent Accounts. Essential requirement to maintain privacy for accounts.

10 Overview STUDENT LETTERS All Letters generated in the Student Profile are available to Parents inside the Parent Access Module. Video PAM Account holders are notified via email of new letters. A Notification is displayed inside PAM when a new letter is available.

11 Overview EMAIL PARENTS Ability for teachers to email Parents (all or those selected) of students in a class. Parents receive emails in Blind Carbon Copy format for additional privacy. Video

12 SIMON KIOSK Overview The SIMON Kiosk is designed to allow students to self- manage sign in and sign out. The interface is built with a touch enabled device in mind. Parents and Guardians are able to register their involvement with signing in and out students using the Kiosk, recording names and times. Video
