Mrs Graham and the Early Years Team Fox Class News 28.9.18 This week in Reception we have been thinking about our sense of sight. We went for an autumn walk and used our eyes to spot some of the signs that autumn is on its way. We saw leaves of red, brown, yellow and orange, we picked up apples from a tree and we noticed blackberries growing on bushes. We had fun painting pictures blindfolded, it made us realise how important our eyes are. Next week in Reception we will be exploring our sense of touch. We will be exploring different materials and how they feel, we will be going on a ‘feely’ walk outside touching things like bark, leaves, pebbles and mud and describing how they feel. Perhaps you might like to explore some textures over the weekend and post your pictures onto Tapestry. We all love to share what we have been doing with our friends! On Friday afternoon we will be walking to the church for our Harvest Festival. If there are any parents who are free to help walk with us please let myself of Mrs Allen know, we would be most grateful. In the Nursery this week the children have been exploring mixtures, they have been making bubbles and beautiful bubble pictures, please come and look our the lovely displays. Next week we are having a ‘stick week’, we will be exploring Stick Man, we will be finding lots of different ways to use sticks, journey sticks, stirring sticks, pointing sticks!! Over this weekend please place some pictures of what you have been doing onto Tapestry, the children really enjoy sharing their photos and it is a great opportunity for them to talk and communicate with their friends Have a lovely weekend, Mrs Graham and the Early Years Team The children all completed the Buddy Challenge this week. If you have completed an NSPCC sponsor form please bring it in asap. Many thanks.
