Individual Activity: Source – First Impressions Continue your analysis of the web article you selected as a source for your Major Essay 1: Rhetorical Analysis. Read through the article and find the following: Find 2 examples of ethos. Does the article have good ethos overall? Find 2 examples of logos. Does the article have good logos overall? Find 2 examples of pathos. Does the article have good pathos overall? What is your overall evaluation of the source’s rhetoric? Do you think it is successful in persuading its intended audience?

Homework Blog Entry 2 Focus: Source Reflection Now that you have selected a source for use with your Major Essay 1: Rhetorical Analysis, begin to consider its impact on you. Consider this blog a Strong Response: Reflection to your selected source. Focus on stages 2-3 of reflection: Reflective observation: How did you feel about/react to the source? How might your prior/knowledge or experience have influenced this? Abstract conceptualization: What, if anything, did you learn from the source? This could be a specific piece of data or shift in perspective or understanding. How might your prior knowledge/experience have influenced this?
