How to get started at MSU Denver Faculty Funding Present Build rapport with faculty Ask your favorite professor if they are accepting any research students Talk about your ideas and get involved outside of class Apply for the Undergraduate Research Mini-grant program Receive up to $500 for supplies, mileage, etc. Visit the Council of Undergraduate Research for funding opportunities Student Travel 8th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference 4/19/2019 The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) Look for local, regional, National and International conference within your field

Presenting at the Undergraduate Research Conference: A Symposium of Scholarly Works and Creative Projects Pay attention to dates and deadlines. Registration opens in late January and closes before spring break. You do not have to have a finished project in order to present. You are welcome to present your findings at any stage. You can present a poster, oral or both. Solo and group projects are both welcomed. Be sure to clear your schedule for the day of. You will get your presentation time two weeks in advance.
