MBSHC-19 Batumi/GEORGIA 30 June-02 July 2015 BASWG Report 1

KEY POINTS * BASWG12 was held in Batumi/Georgia, 03-04 June 2014 * Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Turkey (Chair), Ukraine and the IHB * CB activities * GE INT charts * Date and venue of the next BASWG meeting will be decided in MBSHC19 Since the last Comission meeting; - 5-year CB plan for MBSHC is prepared and adopted. Then that plan was reported to CBSC and started to be implemented from 2015. As CB Coordinator of the region, Turkey participated CBSC 12 and 13 in 2014 and 2015. 2

KEY POINTS * BASWG is the best opportunity for the coordination of Black Sea neighbouring countries. * Georgia became a new IHO MS (Bulgaria is waited for deposit of instrument) * Georgia became the new INT chart producer Nation * Chairmanship extended for 2 years Since the last Comission meeting; - 5-year CB plan for MBSHC is prepared and adopted. ACTION REQUESTED * MBSHC; - to note the report - to take necessary action * Region F ICCWG Coordinator - to take necessary action(s) for GE INT charts The Secretary presented the 2012 CBWP (Doc. CBSC11-05B) and the CB Coordinators updated their projects. The CBSC analyzed the pending activities from 2012 CBWP and decided on cancellation or including in the 2013 CBWP. As a result of discussions technical visit to Syria cancelled since the disorder in the country. 4
