Role Call

General’s shout “Company, Atten-tion”

Regiments rise and snap to attention

General’s shout “Company, in place, rest”

Regiment soldiers take the ‘at ease’ stance

Generals call “Contingents report”

Regiment commanders step forward, turn about face, and call role

Colonels report out “All present and accounted for, sir Colonels report out “All present and accounted for, sir!” or “soldiers name is absent, sir!”

After role call, Generals read orders of the day.

Generals call “Dis-missed!”

Soldier Yells Rebel Yell - The rebel yell was a battle cry used by Confederate soldiers during the American Civil War. Confederate soldiers would use the yell during charges to intimidate the enemy. Union Hurrah – Battle Cry of Freedom “The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah! Down with the traitor, up with the star”

Regiments give their yells/chants.

Regiments return to tables and begin working on their orders for the day.
