ELITE CLUBS NATIONAL LEAGUE

What is Alabama F.C ? Made up of 9 soccer clubs that share the same vision and goals with regard to player development. Will work together to create a better soccer environment for all players within the state of Alabama. Goal is to create and provide strategic soccer opportunities for the betterment of all player’s in the state of Alabama. Will not cause any member club to change anything that they currently do and all teams and regular club business will continue as usual Will create access and relationships that will be able to be fostered under the same association umbrella that will enable more opportunities for all players in Alabama.

THE VISION The time is now for clubs in Alabama to start working together to grow the game. The clubs that comprise Alabama F.C. share a common vision for the next generation of soccer in our state and region. With a limited player pool, it is imperative that we work together to find the best model for the Alabama player.

Mission Statement for US Soccer As the governing body of soccer in all its forms in the United States, U.S. Soccer has played an integral part in charting the course for the sport in the USA for almost 100 years. In that time, the Federation’s mission statement has been very simple and very clear: to make soccer, in all its forms, a preeminent sport in the United States and to continue the development of soccer at all recreational and competitive levels

Alabama Soccer vs Alabama F.C Alabama Soccer Today Alabama F.C Lack of trust or community Everyone does their own thing/controls their own borders Lack of development opportunities for every player A failing ODP model USYS rules make it difficult to grow the game in this state Only one club has access to the ECNL Clubs are on their own in both USYS (AYSA) and US Club databases Difficulty Player Passing/Guest Playing All teams enter state cup Clubs in a small populated soccer state do not work together The best clubs in Alabama working together on a daily basis Access to a bigger player developmental model that allows players opportunities that don’t jeopardize their current standing with their club More options with both USYS and US Club Soccer Would be registered under same umbrella Players could move more freely between any team within the Association. The right teams enter state cup Clubs work together to create the right developmental model for each player and each team Tournament Reciprocation

Reasons to Form Alabama F.C 1) Access to work together by being registered under the same club umbrella/association in both USYS and US Club Soccer 2) Nothing has to change within each club’s current model of operations. Each club will continue to operate and function like they do today. 3) Tournament/Showcase Teams 4) Developmental Opportunities 5) Highest Level of Coaching in Alabama *** USSF “A”- 6 *** USSF “B”- 1 *** USSF “C”- 8 *** UEFA “B”- 1 6) Access to the ECNL, the highest level soccer for the female player offered in the United States 7) Critical Mass to help create a better model in our state soccer association. 8) Keep cost down for all players 9) Access to the newly formed SouthEastern Champions League

Daily Operations For Member Clubs of Alabama F.C One of the greatest advantages of forming Alabama F.C. is that clubs can continue to run and operate in all forms as they do today New model provides more access and more options for today’s soccer player in Alabama. Central Administrator will handle all registrations for each club with help of lead registrar at each member club.

Alabama F.C Tournament Teams Creation of Tournament Teams for College Exposure CASL Shootout Jefferson Cup Disney PDA Showcase ** Teams would be formed from all member clubs of Alabama F.C. and train once a month on dates blocked out by each club.

Tournament Teams Teams would be formed at training/tryout sessions in August/September for Fall Showcase Events Tournament Team options in lieu of high school would exist Teams to be formed for showcase events 2 Older Boys Teams and 2 older Girls Teams Each club would have representation on tournament teams All member club coaching staffs will coach and work with players on showcase teams Ex. U-18 Boys Alabama F.C. Need to add Ex. U-16 Boys Alabama F.C Need to add Cost of each event would be per player to cover tournament fees, coaches hotel and per diem Alabama FC would always be open to forming more teams if interest predicates

Changing the Landscape of Alabama We can only change the landscape by working together Clubs that work together can grow for the future Clubs that work together can be built on the right goals, right ideals and right framework for all of our players in our state

Keep the Cost Low One of the goals of Alabama F.C. is to keep costs low. Additional playing opportunities will come at a very low, limited or non-existent cost to players. Increased scope of sponsorship and donor opportunities due to scope of state covered in new association and through numbers of players in new association
