How to Improve your grades Using what we learned yesterday about percentages, value of each percentage point in terms of each grading periods total points available, calculate how many points you would need to earn in order to move your current P2 grade up to the next highest grade. Say from a D to a C. If you have a 62% now, how many points do you need to move up to a 70%.

How to calculate grade changes P2 total points possible was 574 Multiply your percentage as a decimal by 574 points to determine how many points you have earned by P2 marking period. Using 62% as an example: 574 X 0.62 = 356r 70% is your goal so 574 X 0.70 =402r Goal 402-356 = 46 points but points = 75% 46 ÷ 0.75= 61.3333 or 62r points needed 
