Latanya Overby - Director, GED Testing Program A Star Is Born The New World of GED Testing Produced by Latanya Overby - Director, GED Testing Program

State-Wide Transition Plan All Official GED Testing Centers transitioned by September 1, 2012. Convert addendum sites –before January 2014. Correctional sites, YDCs, YCAs and Job Corps will remain paper-based until new assessment in January 2014. Correctional trial in the Fall. Consistent billing for annual contracts. Most policies and procedures for paper-based testing will remain same. Regional paper-based testing centers in 2013. To maintain paper-based testing center through end of 2013, requires a minimum of a GED Chief Examiner, secure area to store test booklets and an office to house the PASSPORT computer and scanner.

Why Transition to CBT? 2002 Test Series will expire on December 31, 2013. New fully computer-based GED assessment will be released on January 2, 2014. More info: www.gedtestingservice.com/assessment Transition will ensure that the state’s GED testing capacity is maintained in 2014 and eventually increased.
