SORT - arrange data in alphabetical or chronological order Data can be sorted in Ascending or Descending Order Examples of: Alphabetical order—Ascending A to Z Alphabetical order—Descending Z to A Numerical order—Ascending 1 to 10 Numerical order—Descending 10 to 1

Sorts Primary sort (aka single sort) – indicates the primary sort range of data (i.e., last name) Secondary sort (aka multiple sort) – indicates the next sort range of data (i.e., first name)

Filters-displays only the rows that meet criteria you specify (hides rows that you don't want displayed) Selecting info. to be filtered (one cell or a range) Click the Filter button (Data tab, Sort & Filter group) Use drop down menu to select criteria from “Number filters”

Freezing Panes - allows the row and/or columns to remain stationary on the screen while you scroll.
