“Death is the Mother of all beauty” All Hallows Eve w/b 30th October 2017 “Death is the Mother of all beauty” Wallace Stevens

All Hallows Eve Word It feels strange that our first reflection in our brand new building takes place as our days are becoming shorter during the Autumn season of death and decay. Many of you may choose to mark this time of year by celebrating Halloween. You may wish to encourage students to share some of their plans for Halloween this year.

All Hallows Eve Word Did you know that Halloween dates back to about 1745 and is of Christian origin. The word "Hallowe'en" means "holy evening” or “the evening before All Hallows' Day.”

All Hallows Eve Response “What force is resourced by the echoing black. When the brightness ignites can the shadow push back?” Consider how the values we practice in our new school could be used to ‘push back the shadows’ in… 1. Our own lives 2. Our school 3. Our wider community Respect Hope Responsibility Integrity Kindness Courage Trust

All Hallows Eve Dismiss This week marks a new beginning of light and life for you, our school and the wider community. May this new building and the season of Halloween remind us that… “These forces of darkness if such can be called are banished by brilliance, by blazing enthralled.”
