BINP:Two-phase Cryogenic Avalanche Detector (CRAD) with EL gap and THGEM/GAPD-matrix multiplier: concept and experimental setup Concept: Detector of nuclear recoils of ultimate sensitivity for Coherent Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering and Dark Matter Search experiments Principle: Combining THGEM/GAPD-matrix multiplier with PMT readout of proportional EL of the ionization (S2) signal, in single-electron counting mode [JINST 5 (2010) P08002]

BINP: Recent results on two-phase Cryogenic Avalanche Detector (CRAD) performance with THGEM multiplier 1. Two-phase CRAD in Ar with combined THGEM/GAPD-matrix multiplier. Spatial resolution is far superior compared to that of PMTs [NIM A 732 (2013) 213] 2. First measurement of ionization yield of nuclear recoils in liquid Ar using two-phase CRAD with THGEM charge readout and DD neutron generator, for energy calibration of dark matter search detectors [EPL 108 (2014) 12001] 3. First systematic study of proportional electroluminescence in two-phase Ar using two-phase CRAD with EL gap and THGEM/GAPD-matrix multiplier, for dark matter search and coherent neutrino-nucleus scattering experiments [arXiv:1509.00664]
